Ecommerce Tech Stack
The tools behind stores that grow — organically and on the bottom line.
A well-functioning store stands on more than SEO alone. These are the tools I recommend to run and grow an ecommerce business: from platform and email marketing to reviews and product feeds. All chosen because they work together and support organic growth. Some links are affiliate links. Ecommerce technology has become so extensive that the choice of stack often matters as much as the product itself. The wrong platform, a heavy app install or a misconfigured product feed can cost revenue every day — without anyone noticing. That's why I always prioritise tools that are fast to implement, light on performance and proven to scale over time. Shopify and WooCommerce are still the two platforms I work with most — each with their strengths depending on size, technical maturity and catalogue complexity. Email tools like Klaviyo and Omnisend are the de-facto ecommerce standards because they're built for product data and transactional triggers rather than generic marketing. Reviews via Trustpilot or Judge.me deliver both social proof and structured data directly in the search result. And a well-tuned product feed via Merchant Center or Feedonomics is often the difference between visibility in Google Shopping and being invisible entirely.
How I choose tools
A tool has to solve a real problem faster or better than I can without it. I weigh reliability, data quality and how well it plays with the rest of my stack — not the number of features.
How I use them
I use the tools below in practice on client and own projects. I test everything myself before recommending it — and switch without hesitation if something better comes along.
* Some links are affiliate links. I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend tools I use and stand behind myself.
