Local SEO
Win customers in your city and on Google Maps.
Local SEO is about being chosen when someone searches for what you offer in your area. For local businesses, visibility in Google Maps and the local results is often the most direct route to new customers.
Google Business Profile
Your Google Business Profile is the hub of local SEO. I optimise the profile, categories, reviews and content so you stand strong in the map pack.
Local landing pages
Have multiple cities or locations? I build local pages that rank on city and area searches without creating thin or duplicate content.
Citations and local signals
Consistent NAP details, local links and reviews send strong signals to Google that you are the relevant local business.
Local SEO is about being chosen when someone searches for what you offer in your area. For local businesses, visibility in Google Maps and the local results is often the most direct route to new customers.
I optimise your Google Business Profile, build local landing pages and ensure consistent signals so you stand strong in the local map pack.
Google Business Profile is far more important than most realise. It's not just a digital business card — it's the single most important ranking factor for appearing in the map pack (the three results with a map at the top of local searches). I optimise the profile in depth: correct categories, complete services, geo-tagged photos, weekly posts and accurate hours. Even small neglects here can cost you a spot in the map pack.
Local landing pages are often the hidden winner. A city or area page written with real local knowledge — where the customers live, which local references speak to them, concrete local case studies — ranks noticeably better than a generic 'we cover all of Denmark' line. I build them so they have unique content per area and don't fall into duplicate-content graves.
Reviews are both a ranking factor and a conversion tool. Count, average and the velocity of new reviews all count for Google. I set up systematic flows to ask the right customers for reviews at the right time — plus a clear strategy for handling negative reviews professionally, so they become a trust signal rather than a red flag.
NAP consistency (Name, Address, Phone) across the web sounds old-school — but it's still a key trust signal. Google cross-checks your profile against dozens of external sources (business directories, industry portals), and even small discrepancies can raise doubt about which address or phone is correct. I audit and clean up all citations so the signal is unambiguous.
Finally, I work with local link building, which is its own discipline. Local press, local sponsorships, partnerships with other local businesses and memberships in local organisations are all ways to build links that Google reads as local trust signals. It's rarely glamorous, but it's exactly what lifts you from position 8 to position 3 in the local map pack.
